Cholera Vaccine

Cholera O1
Evaluation of current oral cholera vaccine:


• safety and immunogenicity of B-subunit dose finding for procholeragenicity with B sub unit

• safety and immunogenicity of live vaccine candidate CVD 103- HgR live oral vaccine

• challenge dose of V cholera N16961, Cholera O139 new vaccine:

• dose finding for Vibrio cholerae O139 vaccine

• clinical tolerance and immune response to attenuated and killed whole cell Vibrio cholera O1, O139 vaccines.

Rotavirus vaccine

• interaction between tetravalent oral rotavirus vaccine (Rotashield) and oral polio vaccine (OPV)

Poliomyelitis vaccine

• comparative trial of oral polio vaccine (OPV), inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) and simultaneous administration of OPV and IPV

Malaria vaccine
(phase I/II)

• safety and immunogenicity of a falciparum sporozoite vaccine (RTS) safety and immunogenicity testing of multi stage Plasmodium falciparum vaccine (SPf66)

Varicella vaccine

• immunogenicity and reactogenicity of the three different antigenic mass contents of live attenuated varicella vaccine

Measles vaccine

• pilot trial of Edminston-zagreb (EZ) measles vaccine by intranasal and subcutaneous routes.

Human papilloma virus
(HPV) Vaccine

• two efficacy trials of quadrivalant HPV vaccine for preventing HIV infection and cervical cancer in young female adults and elderly female adults

Phase I, II and III HIV-1 vaccine trials in the VTC

 


To date, seven projects of phase I/II and phase III HIV-1 vaccine trials, involving thou-sands of volunteers, have been conducted by the Center, or as one of the collaborators
